This is my vegetable basket. Sometimes, during the summer, it looks a little bit like this - stuffed to the gills with produce. But now, instead of peaches and berries, I have lots of onions, potatoes, garlic and even a pomegranate. All the makings of holiday dinner. I'm choosing to focus on this beauty rather than the two 15 pound turkeys that are in the downstairs refrigerator...

Bounty
This is my vegetable basket. Sometimes, during the summer, it looks a little bit like this - stuffed to the gills with produce. Those are much prettier than dead birds! Although I have to say, I always miss a bowl full of fruit in the winter.
My local Asian store always has a constant supply of wonderful, fresh berries all winter long..and for a reasonable price too! I'll take potatoes and onions over turkey any day!
